Comments Thread For: Is Anthony Joshua back on Jake Paul?s dance card?

With Gervonta Davis possibly out of his scheduled November 14 exhibition with Jake Paul, the idea of an Anthony Joshua-Paul matchup continues to have legs.

This is way too dangerous for Joshua. It's never a good idea for a fighter on the decline to face a NextGen fighter. Nash out - His Majesty

Absolutely! It was always cash in with Paul or cash out with Fury.
Hearn knows that any top 15-rated HW wipes the floor with his broken boy.

Btw, at least he's not broke like Paulie Dickinaggi.

        Jake Paul won't fight AJ.

Any talk of fighting AJ from Fake Paul is nothing but bluff and bluster.

Who cares? You (BS) have dedicated three stories to this non-boxing grifter on your homepage. As for AJ, he seems to be semi-retired. You are also chasing clicks with "muh May-Pac" relitigation of a tedious rivalry that ended unsatisfactorily over a decade ago. You are one of the few outlets with the resources to run proper stories so please dedicate some time to the following (unless you're transforming into the TMZ of boxing):
          1. The return of Bivol. He's one of the best fighters in the sport. When is he returning?
          2. WBC/WBA corruption. Will new ABC president Tim Shipman follow in the footsteps of his predecessor and take action here?
          3. Beyond their self-interested grandstanding, what substantive plan do the Old Guard promoters have to work in the interests of the sport. Is the 'marination' (indefinite delay of the best fights) era over?

You are whistling in the wind. The owners of this platform have minimal consideration for the collective whole of posters since taking over 2 years ago, much less the shrill yelping of any one particular poster.

              AJ would love it

it could happen as jake paul in on a stepping stone type of thing it seems

it would be a total farce tho whether AJ would just pull his punches

That's harsh, Coverdale. Whether we like it or not, Jake Paul is a big in boxing because of the figures he pulls in from social media followers, some of whom may start to love boxing from watching undercards or joint main events featuring women champions unifying titles. Anyway to answer your points:

                1) every source on the internet says "Dmitry Bivol's next fight is not yet scheduled, but he has stated he will not fight until 2026 due to an injury". Are you expecting Boxing Scene to do a Mystic Meg and predict undetermined future events? If you want daft rumours, I give you Bivol v Jake Paul New Year's Day.

                2) Let events happen and Boxing Scene report what Tim Shipman says and does. The alphabetti spaghetti organistions have survived wire taps and investigations, so don't hold your breath.

                3) No one can say when the marination period is over.Turki Alalshikh burst the bubble, splashing the cash. Anyway, some fights/fighters attract the casual fans, so if that works money wise for promoters, etc, don't expect permanent changes to fighters not fighting. It's still happening today. It's not a Boxing Scene issue. You're expecting too much.

Plus the TMZ comparison is just rude.

Give over, Smash. They've already talked about networking issues on Day One. God only knows what is next. Jake Paul doesn't want to be beaten into the grave and would make money against Skippy The Dead Kangaroo. Actually that could make a good horror movie. Let's face it, Jake losing to Tommy 'Love Island' Fury didn't effect his popularity one bit.

Stop. It’s all for publicity. Joshua is in dramatic decline but would hospitalize this carefully matched showman in less than a minute
