Shields is the No 1 in the US. In the rest of the world, it's probably Katie Taylor.

She won 2 Olympic gold medals against the rest of the world. And beat Savannah Marshall on the road in the UK. She’s #1 anywhere.

            Bingo!

I think Shields is a better fighter and more accomplished than KT. An additional gold medal, three weight undisputed…

KT might have stirred up greater inspiration and is probably a more poetic story though for having led the crusade on opening doors for women in an entire country, though.

The fact that Taylor has beat 3 fighters in your list and shields hasn’t beaten one should automatically make Taylor number 1. It’s just pure American bias. Taylor was the main reason women’s boxing is in the olymics and she’s the main reason women’s pro boxing has got such big platform

140: WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, Ring, lineal undisputed

Both have great resumes, but Shields has conquered more divisions and has no losses or controversial wins. Taylor lost to Cameron and many people thought she should have additional losses to Persoon, Cameron again, and at least once to Serrano.
