Wilder, up to and through the Fury trilogy floored a whole lot of people. That is FACT, not supposition. He put Fury on the floor 4 times in 2 of the 3 fights, and Fury raved about his power. Fury has been floored 7-8 times in his entire career, with Wilder being responsible for half of that total in 2 of their 3 fights. If a person doesn't recognize Wilder's power they can't be paying attention, IMO. I think his unbelievable KO record was as much a product of the quickness and speed of his strike as of his power, and losing a split second off of that speed has led to his recent slide, much as Mike Tyson depended on the combination of speed and power to overwhelm his opponents until he lost a few milli-seconds off his speed and was suddenly missing punches he would previously have landed and being caught by punches he would have avoided when at his best. Power itself is said to be the last thing to go. Speed, reflexes and balance are not, again, IMO.

It is not really a monumental achievement decking Tyson Fury, if? Wilder was such a power puncher, he should have been able to force a stoppage vs Tyson Fury especially during the third fight. Just imagine if Mike Tyson, had a fighter seriously hurt during a fight, 99.99% of the time? That fighter was not going to survive for the rest of the fight.

Deontay Wilder is a big power puncher, but? I do think his power has been overrated, definitively his offensive game is not really elite level i.e. being a destructive puncher, is more than just having power. It is about punch variation, and the range which the power can be deliver to the target'.

Note: Mike Tyson had a greater punch variation and range with his power than Deontay Wilder 'many past great heavyweight fighters did. And in my opinion? I would even rate Anthony Joshua as overall a more destructive offensive fighter than Deontay Wilder. I think this is a proven fact; Mike Tyson has stopped and knocked out a higher number of World level fighters'.

If Anthony Joshua was matched against Deontay Wilder's entire resume, he arguable may have had a 100% knock-out ratio 'I am sure you are aware? That Tyson Fury has been smashed up and decked at every single level in the sport. Domestic, European and World level. Like I said? It is not big deal being able to decked Fury, but keeping him down is another level of challenge'.

To conclude: In my opinion a super heavyweight fighter, with the proven technical skill and power of Anthony Joshua 'has always been the stylistic fighter, which would have had the best overall chance of scoring a knockout vs Tyson Fury in this heavyweight era'.

Nevertheless, I would still rate Wilder in the top-10 biggest power punchers in the heavyweight division 'but he definitively is not at number 1, not on the current form he has been showing in the game' etc.
