Comments Thread For: Fabio Wardley announced himself as Britain?s next heavyweight hope

Fabio Wardley in my opinion? May have reached his peak 'the wins vs Justis Huni and Joseph Parker may be his peak level wins. Fabio Wardley is a game and competitive fighter, with solid power. But skill for skill, he does not appear to have the ability to make any fight at World level easy and straight forward for himself'.
Wardley to his credit has been winning thus far in his career 'but he has also been getting beaten up really badly, and sustaining heavy damage. The fight against Joseph Parker was another brutal fight for Wardley, the level of damage he is sustaining can accumulate in a fighters career'.
Regardless I would back Fabio Wardley to beat Daniel Dubois 'as both are similar fighters, but with one crucial difference? Fabio Wardley is not a front runner, and has numerous times in his career. Displayed the ability and resolve to stay in a fight, which he is not winning and is being subjected to heavy bombardment'.
Note: I think Anthony Joshua due to his greater skill level, still has the ability to beat Fabio Wardley quite easily 'Joshua at a certain level in boxing, is good enough technically to ether make fights difficult or easy for himself. I think Fabio Wardley in terms of skill, is not really a World level fighter. He has only found himself at this level now, because the Heavyweight era is in the conclusive stages and there is no real super talented fighters at top level'.
As I have stated before in some of my previous posts, fighters such as Joseph Parker and Agit Kabayel 'have been professional fighters for many years, in fact? They have both been professional fighters for a longer period of time than Anthony Joshua. Parker and Kabayel were active fighters during the entire heavyweight reigns of Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder. So they were active fighters, but non-factors at top level'.
In 2025, you only ether have rookie fighters, who are unproven at top level or fighters such as Parker, Kabayel and Bakole 'who are all in reality fighters that were not good enough, to be factors in this Heavyweight era during the peak years of the action'.
To conclude: So to call a fighter the next heavyweight challenger, really at this current time 'in my opinion is not a big deal. Fabio Wardley is a contender; things are going very well for him currently. But let's all be honest? People that have watched the sport of boxing for many years, can all anticipate how this guy is going to be beaten'.
Like I stated just before? Fabio Wardley can be out boxed, and he is routinely being smashed up in all of his fights 'I would not be surprised in the slightest, if Anthony Joshua fought Fabio Wardley hypothetically, and Wardley did not win a single round'.
Seriously I stated the same thing in regards to Daniel Dubois vs Anthony Joshua, and I still maintain that view 'if Joshua was to rematch Dubois II. Fighters like Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have the ability to make fights at a certain level, quite straight forward for themselves. They have shown throughout their careers, that they can switch up their game'.
I congratulate Fabio Wardley, but I really don't rate him super highly 'nowhere near the level of Fury and Joshua at their peak, or even in solid form' etc.

Blooming heck. For once, I can't agree. I never saw a moment when I thought "Anthony Joshua can win this", Chisora was against a novice version of heavyweight Usyk, Fury was battered by Oleksandr and flattered by judges. You're right that he can be got at, but he's a real fighter and hasn't cherry picked his way to the top, so someone was bound to hit him.

fury i think did better than that if i remember in fight 1, it was nip and tuck for quite a while until usyks superior stamina kicked in and he took it in the end
