I'm liking David's superior body attack, defense, and jab
Smash Buff Guy Yarde's mentality is strange winning results does not appear to be his priority. He's about improving and putting on a show

Might work since fat Dave is used to fighting normal sized less buff 168lbers. I still have no idea how much buff guy Yarde walks around at its hard to tell.

If he can get howard foster as his ref all he has to do is unload a barrage of sloppy wide punches that mostly miss. Fight over. Hes knocked benavidez out

Those loose flabby old man arms help him throw a barrage of fast punches, buffness can make you stiff but looks good.

Damn those are some lightning fast hands...imagine getting punched in the face by that.

Still, I find it both interesting and surprising that his KO power HASN'T carried through to Light Heavyweight so far.

Maybe Buff Guy Yarde has a chance to survive until the end of the fight but definitely not win haha.

I’m inclined to believe David ko power was the byproduct of him being way larger than everyone at 168

he used to walk around at 195 to 198 whereas 168 pounders are typically 180 to 185

he went up only one his first move up the ko power is gone facing opponents that he’s only marginally heavier than

his punching technique often doesn’t recruit the entire body. Instead opting to exchange power for speed

Or maybe he's faced some DURABLE opponents in his first couple of fights at Light Heavyweight. After all, Gvozdyk has only been stopped by Beterbiev whereas Morrell is still young and was a world class amateur. Anyway, let's see how he performs against Yarde who already has a couple of stoppage losses to his name.

if there's anyone he should be able to KO it's the Yardes Callums. David is body puncher while Buff Guy Yarde is one gassy mofo

If Artur has the superior performance again, that would be the 3rd time the greats Saul and Artur outperformed David against fresher versions of shared opponent Caleb Gvozdyk

styles make fights, BUT 3 is a pattern of outperformance!

David power that came from being bigger bailed him out against the Andrade who was outboxing him in those early rounds. David footwork is troubled by combos that go body head from fast hands

Top Soviet Bivol did those vs Artur Part 1

Cuban David is around Mexican David's size?

David was able to hit Gvozdyk a lot but didn't move him

VS Buff Guy Yarde I want to see if David will repeat the sequence from his last two fights: 1st 4 rounds all up in your ass pressure, next 4 rounds spear jab box, and final 4 rounds slows down suspect gas tank?

Agreed...if he isn't able to stop Yarde (who's already been stopped twice before), there will be some question marks about his power at Light Heavyweight. Having said that, I still think he has the BEST chance to beat Bivol or Beterbiev simply because he's younger and fresher and has very fast hands and an endless gas tank. Both Bivol & Beterbiev are coming off injuries too so he could just do it due to favourable match-making i.e. Canelo vs. GGG.

Re Morrell, I believe he's roughly the same size as Benavidez whereas Gvozdyk had an iron chin and only got stopped by Beterbiev late in the fight (Adonis couldn't hurt him either).
