Of course who isn't willing to risk other peoples money doing stuff rather than their own, the government, banks etc etc all do it with YOUR money as we speak...

Matchroom can't bleed Turki's money - he's free to spend his (or the Saudi gov't) money on what he wants

Should he say no he doesn't want that much?

          What a weird complaint.

Will the fight even happen? It’s very easy to put the money on a piece of paper. It’s another thing rolling the dice for real and losing $1m in cold blood and paying the bills after. Now you’re going to Barclays Center on January 10 for Dalton Smith against Subriel Matias [an Englishman versus a Puerto Rican]. Good luck.
Key quote. Hearn is focused on running a profitable business, Matias' amateur promoter has overbid and now realised they can't make their money back. The drastic relocation is a move of desperation.

Turki isn't concerned about making a profit (at least not for now) so the Riyadh Season shows are an outlier. Silly to criticise any promoter for involving themselves in those shows.

hearn complained about other promoters in recent times like he is any better. they all "bleed" other people's money but not their own. they don't want to invest in their fighters' careers (dalton smith and andy cruz in good divisions for example) to make them bigger and more respected (essentially they don't invest in a long game) but readily take the biggest cut out of every purse. that's my complaint.

the only reason fighters sign with big promoters is because they rely on bigger promoter's money to arrange better fights. in my opinion, big promoters didn't deliver in recent years without turki's help (who also spends other people's money). small promoters or fighter's own promotion could have done the same level of fights we had. personally i would like if arum, oscar, hearn, warren and haymon all go bankrupt and close shop. i don't like any of them or how they do business. new blood and ideas are needed because boxing (organization) is very boring now.

Promoters are so obsolete to the process, fighters should just deal with networks and venues themselves. Same with sanctioning bodies, consensus champion would do just fine.

Is anyone getting more ads now at the bottom of the page and pop ups? And on top of the page the videos pop up (which i have no interest in such as hearing Malignaggin talk) . The ads are making the site unusable never use to come up before
