You make a good point about what fights fans want to see. But, unfortunately boxing doesn't deliver that enough. If I'm team Ennis, I'd probably rather take on Baraou or Zayas or Murtazaliev for a real belt. Then defend that real belt against Ortiz. I don't think Ennis ducked Bakhram. Lima was a pretty weak opponent for Ennis' first at 154, but he probably just needed a camp at that weight to see how cutting, etc. goes in this new weight class.

However, do you see the narrative around Boots now? Crawford says he had an opportunity, Ortiz gave him an opportunity, and Murtazliev said he had an opportunity. I like Boots, and I think he's Top 3 P4P in the game! But that's just an eye-test! He's has to beat THE TOP FIGHTERS!

You aren't wrong about how his career has been handled thus far or any of the rest of what you said. I totally agree he needs to get in the ring with a top fighter NEXT.However, do you see the narrative around Boots now?
