Dave Allen knows what a win would mean - and a loss - but he's ready to see what fate has in store for him either way.

I like Allen but he has done nothing in his career that shows me he can win this fight. Makhmudov is older & his fight with Wach (to be fair Wach was in great shape for once) exposed cracks in his game. That is when I started thinking he was just another David Price or Dimitrenko. Kabayel was more of a boogeyman than Hrgovic or Makhmudov. This is it for Makhmudov if he doesn't win impressively. I expect him to stop Allen early but if he doesn't I think he should consider hanging them up unless he is cool with becoming a gatekeeper.

Best of luck to Dave. A very amusing guy. But the coverage this very mid level fight has been getting just shows how barren it’s been for real HW fight news apart from Parker-Wardley

Agree with all of that - there is a huge difference in level between Makmudov and Fisher. Allen is at 11/2 for the decision - I put a few bucks on-tremendous value - that is one of his keys to any chance of winning - keep away from Neanderthal and keep him honest when he gets too close.
