Comments Thread For: The time is now for "Boots" Ennis to step up his competition

?When you consistently fight at this level, your own level starts to diminish ? it causes fighters to stagnate,? says Paulie Malignaggi.

No, it's too soon!! The 28 year old prospect/generational talent doesn't have to step up! He can keep fighting the Karen's and Lima's of the world.

No one will fight Boots except no hopers. The Eddy business model. Squeeze every penny, avoid any risk and turn Boots into a turnip.

Who is put there for him to even fight? Seems the older lions that are aging out don’t want him and who is young that is an interesting fight?

                Fundora/Thurman winner
                Murtazaliev
                Ortiz
                Adams
                Madrimov
                Baraou
                Bohachuk
                Zayas

Is it really that hard to look up the best current fighters at 154?

I would like to see him fight either Murtazaliev or the winner of the Erickson Lubin vs Victor Ortiz bout next.

The question is will he able to bring his power up to 154. I know that Vergil Ortiz hasn’t. The guy he is fighting tomorrow night is freaking huge.
