The Frequency of Heavyweight Championship bouts

It is almost April and all of the heavyweight champs(Klitscho,Byrd,Ruiz,Brewster) have not even fought yet! What's the deal? How are fans of the heavyweight division supposed to follow and be interested in a sport where nothing is happening. I would gladly shell out some deniro for seats to a fight or ppv.

What's the problem they don't want our money?...One more gripe and I'll stop. I'm a fan of the Klitschos,Tyson,Toney, but it's like waiting for my birthday or holiday because these guys only fight once or twice a year. I would like to see these fighters more active at maybe 3-4 bouts per year. What gives? Your opinions?...I'm thinking about changing my screen name to 'disgruntled boxing fan'

I agree. It's true that fighters these days aren't very active compared to the old timers but the heavyweights seem to be especially bad. What's worse is that Vitali-Rahman, one of the few recent HW matchups I've been looking forward to, has been delayed. What's next, Toney-Ruiz falling through?

most people don't want to see ruiz fight byrd, or brewster fight ruiz or anywaything like that anyway, most of the fights would just be a load of junk, lennox should come out of retirment and give vitali a rematch, thats the only fight worth watching, i would like to see ruiz get beat in his next fight though

I agree that nothing seems to be happening in defending these title. But the really sad part of it is that once the bell rings and the title defense begins, there is still very little happening. Heavyweights are over rated.............Rockin'

I'm glad I'm not the only fan here who is frustrated with the heavyweight boxing division today. The market for heavyweight boxing today is ineffecient. What I mean is that, there is a great demand for these bouts but no one wants to supply them. They are losing money(lost revenues) in an industry which seems to be all about money. We need some fresh new creative boxing promoters who see the demand and want to fufill it.

Toney vs. Ruiz and Klitcshko vs. Rahman are the two heavyweight fights I care about.

For there to be a championship bout there has to be a champion, and as far as I'm concerned, none of these chumps are champions.
