Arturo Gatti: The Tragic Story Of A Gladiator "They used me like a ni66er"

Show me a hero and I will show you a tragedy... The worst story of boxing exploitation and corruption may be the career of Arturo Gatti. It makes you hate boxing. https://ringobserver.com/arturo-gatt...f-a-gladiator/

Thanks for posting. Real insider s hit. Terrible what Gatti and who knows how many countless fighters in the history of this sport have had to endure. I’ve always been sensitive to these athletes’ plight. Rarely do I ever say, “That fight was stopped too early.” These warriors deserve much greater appreciation.

Monte Barrett once said, "Everyone in boxing is in bed with each other to screw the fighter." Yes despite the horrors of the dark side of the sport, some magical champions are still produced out of the chaos. Gatti was a wonderful terrific friendly guy... with some demons of course. Drugs and strippers and h0es are not a recipe for a healthy life. RIP Thunder.

You do realize all of his gfs were strippers and h0es right? I'm giving Arturo the benefit of the doubt, he was a cool guy, friendly, gentleman. I think the bad lifestyle and terrible h0es he associated with brought out his worst.

Remember the wife was initially arrested for murder. Then mysteriously she got off... they call it "Brazilian bribery." A theory is Arturo Jr realized how awful his madre is and had enough RIP Arturo Jr.

People saw him hitting her earlier that day and multiple autopsies were done. The only one that suggested murder was the one commissioned by his manager who was still making money off his name. Arturo was an absolutely horrible person. Just because he offed himself doesn't mean we pretend he was a good guy.

No, the police in Brazil initially arrested the wife on murder charges. So there must have been some strong compelling evidence to do that. But she's very pretty girl and it's pretty safe to assume what she may have done to the police officers to cancel the arrest.

Gatti was very nice person, i met him and know some of his friends, golden heart, kind soul. But swallowed up by a crazy sport and crazy bad people. He was exploited beyond comprehension.

The police initially ruled it a homicide because Gatti had a bruise on the back of his head, but the coroner's report indicated a suicide. Gatti had a decade-long history of talking about suicide and attempted suicide at least once in 2006. They later found witnesses who said that the bruise on Gatti's head came earlier in the night when he was assaulting the woman in public and random people intervened and hit him in the back of the head trying to stop him. Reporters from both HBO and CBC interviewed multiple different witnesses who said they saw Gatti hitting the woman and they saw people attacking Gatti in return.

Two Brazilian coroners and two Canadian forensic pathologists examined the evidence and they all agreed that it was a suicide. Only people hired by Gatti's manager to push a narrative said otherwise.

So no, you have no idea what you're talking about. Gatti was a headcase drug addict who beat the hell out of his wife, freaked out, then hanged himself. Stop trying to prop up his legacy.
