Comments Thread For: Turki Has Benavidez-Artur in the Crosshairs [Had Top Soviet Bivol MOPPING Artur TWICE Already!]

    tl; dw:
    • Turki who had Top Soviet Bivol mopping Artur TWICE in a row prefers Mexican David-Artur instead of a trilogy [June or July Top Soviet Bivol would face the winner of Callum-Cuban David? while Mexican David-Artur settle things]
    • David low-key admits 168 now would drain him
    • David has had many gym wars with Zurdo with and feels a fight is PPV worthy
    • Top Soviet Bivol was tougher for David in sparring than Zurdo. Top Soviet Bivol is a technical fighter every punch is solid with accuracy in mind
    • David was 22 when he ALLEGEDLY hurt 28 year old Bivol in sparring
    • Al Haymon goes above and beyond to take care of his fighters helps his injured fighters with finances
    • David's 3 toughest fights so far: Cuban David, Caleb, and Gvozdyk [David came into this match with ucked up hands]
    • Believes he has 15 years of boxing left until he's 43 with 2 fights per year
    • Thinks he'll be at 175 for 5 years, then cruiser for 5 years, and finally heavyweight for 5 years
    • Open to being a boxing analyst when he retires
    • Thinks he'd decision Roy, decision Tarver, decision Toney, decision Ward, KO Artur, decision Usyk in a chess match at cruiser, decision Calzaghe, and ko Bivol
    • Says it's easier to ko pressure fighters like Buff Guy Yarde because they come to you
    • Brawlers who come and brawl with him are easier than boxers
    • Has trained for Buff Guy Yarde's check hook
    • David's next 3 dream schedule in order: Zurdo, Top Soviet Bivol, and Artur

Maybe decision over Calzaghe, but all of the mentioned are higher level than David

        - - Bivol and Beter are 1-1 vs each other.

Both prob beat Bena who'd rather fight Canelo in a huge grudge match...

I haven't watched the interview but did he mention anything about sparring Buff Guy Slavic-Mongol General Genghis Golovkin? Apparently they sparred when he was still a teenager and GGG deemed him good enough to bring him back. Therefore, it'd be interesting to see how he compares to Top Soviet Doughmitry Buddah Belly Bivol.

Also, it's strange that he wants to fight Macho Mazatlan Mobster Ramirez next as that would involve jumping up to Cruiserweight. Surely it's better to stay at Light Heavyweight and fight Bivol/Beterbiev first and then move up. Let Zurdo and Buff Guy Jai get it on and unify in the meantime.

according to David, Top Soviet Bivol is a technical fighter every punch is solid with accuracy in mind

but that description also fits golovkin. His punching technique could be better than Bivol who compensates for glass hands

My guess David is more impressed with golovkin even though Top Soviet Bivol is the superior fighter. golovkin pretty much a mentor to David

David once remarked that Bivol has only the 1-2

As for Zurdo next $$$. David needs a Mexican rival lol. Zurdo has been beat 9-3 in the past by a SMALL light heavy Top Soviet Bivol. This must factor into David's confidence to go to cruiser to face Zurdo immediately
