      They were going to phase out the “regular” champion, weren’t they? Which they still have some floating around.

      Then on top of that they are now adding “interim” titles even when there is already a champion who is active and defending his belt. They are just a bunch of shameless, greedy crooks who don’t care about the overall wellbeing of the sport.

        Why do we still care about the WBA? They almost make the WBC look respectable, almost. Let’s have 3 bogus champs per division, plus a host of meaningless Gold, International, etc. baubles that they sell to fighters to exchange for rankings. It’s obviously a pay-for-play racket.

          Cataclysmically wide odds for Boots vs Lima. Just imagine the real estate you could buy betting on Lima to win. A buddy of mine swears Lima will even them up in the first few rounds. I'm not a gambler, and from what I've personally seen of Lima, he's a counter puncher's wet dream, but might be worth tossing a tenner on him just in case.
