Why are AA's so slick when Africans are stiff?

the million dollar question is why aren't Black-Brits as smooth as US Native Blacks

Buff Guy Joshua and Buff Guy Dubois don't come with special effects unlike their counterparts across the pond

I agree, those guys are stiff as a board, not an ounce of AA slickness in them, I feel Tyson Fury may have ties AA's somewhere in his lineage though

maybe different styles of boxing are taught, i remember the russians had a rep for stiff upright stance because thats how they were taught, now they come in all different types of styles, training in different countries and see different styles opens your mind to new things, u are not born with all this info u learn it as u go along, as in are taught it

Who or what is slick anyway? James Toney fits the bill. But he was a freak of nature genius of a talent. Who is the slick goat? The best African fighter I ever saw is probably Ike Quartey, who wasn't slick but he didn't need to be. Perfect technical fighter who beat Oscar but was robbed.

African americans have the endurance. You mix that with whites, now they are light on their feet, etc.. Full blooded Africans, have the toughness but they are more stiff.

I just think it comes down to training culture. I'm not sure how big the actual African boxing scene is where they have QUALITY trainers. If you just got guys in Africa that came up watching boxing and then decide to open a gym there with no actual boxing background themselves, they're probably just showing basics to their fighters and missing a lot of the finer details that a legit trainer might have.
