Canelo still has a better career than Crawford

It is not even a question.

Crawford will soon be forgotten when he retires. Canelo not so soon.

Canelo was in many wars. Got some gifts, took some losses.

Again, why doesnt Crawford have 10+ fights in grown men's divisions?

Canelo will be remembered due to he was given the "Mexican" crown for no reason outside the fact he was a white red head Mexican and used to come forward and deliver knockouts. He never earned that crown like Chavez, Morales, Sanchez, Lopez, Marquez and etc. Hes lucky he got famous during the social media era.

Crawford will be forgotten due to bad business decisions. He should had put his pride to the side and just signed with PBC. PBC does a better job grooming and promoting black American boxers. He didnt want to bend the knee and just sign with PBC who had all the big names at 140lbs & 147lbs. Hes lucky Spence was dumb enough to take that undisputed fight in hindsight it would had been better for him to fight Crawford above 147lbs since both of them was cutting weight.

I think Crawford will be remembered fondly if he retires undefeated.
He doesn't have the deepest of resumes but neither does Joe Calzaghe or Marciano.
As fans we put way too much stock into the '0'.

That said I think he still has time, another couple of fights that age well could do wonders for his resume.
I think this is what he's truly lacking, a win over a top, prime opponent.
I don't want to hate but all the big names on his resume had seen much better days, people might not like it but its true.

Of course! Canelo's resume is stacked compared to TBud.

Never exactly seen Alvarez have a marquee performance against a top level fighter that say he is going to outright dominate or stop his opponent, like let's say a HOF like Miguel Cotto or a current P4P fighter like GGG. I mean he doesn't need to outright dominate if he can't, just put a lot effort and aim to have a big finish even if you can't. Anything better than a lackluster fight.

Lopez had Hideyuki Ohashi, Saman Sorjaturong and Rosendo Alvarez.

Chavez Sr had Rosario, Camacho and Taylor.

Sanchez had Lopez, Gomez and Nelson.

Morales had Zaragoza/Jones/Ayala, Barrera and Pacquiao.

Barrera had McKinney/Tapia, Hamed, and Morales.

Marquez had Casamayor/Diaz, Barrera and Pacquiao.

Canelo certainly had consistency with opportunities given against said notable fighters, and coasted the wins with just enough effort to win decidedly but not outright aim for a KO or win dominantly. Excluding Kovalev who was beaten by KO, but had a rehydration clause after having cut already a bit more than a month ago after going to war with Yarde.

There is his unification run at Super Middleweight against a well timed set of fighters, solid but not exceptional champions in Smith, Plant and Saunders.

What does Calazage and Marciano have in common that Crawford doesn’t? Lol.

Being "remembered" doesn't really mean anything though does it? Amir Khan will be remembered for having a glass chin. Ryan Garcia will be remembered for having a dodgy shoulder roll. Conor Ben will forever be remembered for consuming copious amounts of eggs... will Canelo be remembered for being one of the truly great fighters, I doubt it.
