Inoue on the verge of retirement? He probably has 3-4 more years left.

Have you forgotten about Benavidez, Bam, Nakatani, Sheeraz, Keyshawn, Mason, Schofield?

If you're American maybe. Lots of other good fights outside your US-focused bubble of inactive social media warriors.

Ortiz had 1 fight at 154, Boots had 0. These guys are not even proven over 147. But wait a minute. Crawford himself has had 2 fights over 147.

Maybe you are right. These Ameeican cherryvpickers should fight each other to avoid Murtazaliev at 154 or Janibek at 160.

I hope you're right but he is nearing 33.
I believe fighters in his division with fan friendly styles are typically kind of done by the time they are around 34ish.
Nonito, Rigondeaux and maybe a couple of exceptions surpassed this.

Then again the smaller weights was largely filled with Mexicans warriors knocking 7 bells out of each other, maybe you're right and its a little different today and they can prolong their career a little in a more weaker era.

I genuinely do hope so as I'd like to see someone emerge that can truly test him as he's simply levels above these others in his division and probably even the 1 up.

So, that is should be his strategy like? Avoiding everybody dangerous from 154 to 168 and fight Ortiz jr. or Boots, career welterweights?

That is a strategy for so called undisputed super middleweight champion?

Vergil left Welterweight before Bud did and has beaten two of the top 5 inc the opponent that gave Bud his toughest fight, he's proven he is a top fighter at light-middle.

As I said with Canelo you aren't beating Bud just by being naturally bigger and throwing single power punches thrown from row Z.
These big lumbering punchers are stuck in mud.

Explosive, athletic counter-punchers are what will trouble Bud - Gamboa, mean machine, Madrimov.
If you're feet are rooted to the canvas he will dictate everything and pick you apart.

As we've seen with Usyks run at HW, Buds run through multiple weights, Inoue, Bam and countless others throughout history, Duran, Pacquaio, Roy Jones Jr, Floyd
                  Skills negate size.

I'd much rather see two guys equal in skill and physical attributes or close enough than an elite skilled fighter vs some big dummy who doesn't have the skill to put his size advantage to use. Its almost always the same result outside of a punchers chance anytime its not the big guy is damn skilled himself.

Usyk has much tougher fights at CW than he did HW vs these supposed super heavyweights.

Why? They could match him better in terms of skill, technique, speed & stamina

They didn't seem to matter to Crawford though. He left the division quickly.

Ortiz has squandered a lot, I've been on board since early but it's been stop/start, he's barely getting his career back on track. Ennis still fighting no names. I get what you mean but these guys still have yet to make a big leap.

Also, Crawford and Ortiz are both with SNAC. Not sure how that would work, I've never paid attention if SNAC guys fight each other until recently.
