Something Benavidez never did back when he had the WBC belt i may add, Im wondering, who you considered was the real best 168 not name Canelo then? And please dont say Morrell
Factually speaking, you can't be the best if you're not fighting the best. He fought Saunders, who has beaten isufu for the belts, Benavidez was avaliable, but you know he was Mexican, Ryder, munguia and berlanga, yildrim, fielding were not top contenders, Morrell Jr and Benavidez, mbilli, shiskin were, and I don't hate Canelo, I just don't like the myth that some people are trying to perpetuate, and you're an example with this post that I'm replying too, and the one before. The funny thing is, the proof is in the quality of his opponents and just follow the line of succession. And to be clear, the myth is what I'm debunking, not the person, for all I know he is a family man and loved by his friends and family, the myth is an arrogant prick that call himself a king and say he can do whatever he wants, and fight the bottom of the barrel.

You consistently have stated Canelo boxing career is pretty much a fraud but then how come TBud getting so much praise for beating a supposed fraud? Do you see where Im trying to get here bro? Buy hey man, everyone entitled to their own opinions. Have a good one!

I have no idea why he is getting praised, actually if that fight has happened at 147/154 lbs, the beating would have been epic. The only thing canelo had over Bud was weight, Bud was better by a mile en every other aspect of the game. He won the title against the weakest link in the 168 division food chain, just like canelo did before him.

So Ortiz should never fight Boots because his fans say Boots avoided him?

Lol cmon Oregon dont change the subject now, but to answer your question on that, those are different circumstances, in between Ortiz legit medical condition that kept him inactive for a while and the fact Turki did presented a substantial offer to Boots team to fight an already recovered Ortiz in SA which Boots openly declined with no excuse as to why given it was obviously a big step up fight, with big money and a big scenario involved. But even still, I do believe they can still fight in a near future at 154 despite Boots evident ducking.

Now if you ask me if Canelo would now take on Benny, I honestly doubt it ,and if he does accept its going to be for a lot of money probably higher than the 150M he got for Bud, as the risk and stakes are even higher now more than ever. After all Turki stated he offered to co promote Canelo til he decides to retire so its safe to assume the guaranteed big money is there for Canelo to take. I guess we'll have to wait to find out.

From what I know, Boots was offered the fight last year but at 154 and he wanted to unify the belt with Stanionis. Now that he’s at 154, maybe they’ll fight next year?

I liked Canelo in the beginning I thought been promoted by Delahoya he would be involved in some competive fights, after his introduction to the fans especially with the marketing behind him, the matchmaking was selective to the extreme didn't macht the hype. That first title fight was laughable and did it for me, you remember, right? Mathew Hatton
