Once they get beaten the hype, public interest and the money making possibilities all sink like a lead balloon. This is the problem with boxing. It's promoted all wrong, promoters ditch a fighter with two losses quicker than a pim'p ditches a huker with clap, it's on to the next one. But... There's limited talent out there so for that reason winning records are protected until a cash out fight is in play.
