Outside of Vanes, who did Andrade beat? I do agree Canelo could have unified and went for Andrade's strap but a year later he moved up in weight, I also don't think there was any money in that fight. Networks didn't invest much into Andrade or push him hard. He was a boring fighter with an awkward style that didn't sell. He was barely able to sell out medium sized venues in his hometown of Providence.

I would have picked Andrade over him. Canelo called him boring because he knew that he would struggle with that style.

The idea is to add credit to the win for Crawford, not detract from it saying a guy like Andrade could do the same.

canelo should have fought andrade because they were highly ranked in the same divisions for ~10 years. it's not important who would win. fights like that should happen whoever the boxers are in every division.

andrade did it to himself though. he withdrew from jermell fight at 154. this was so dumb. then automatically jermall hated him too. when andrade was wba secondary champion, he said super champion lara is the last option. why? everybody else openly didn't want him. jermall declined 7 million $ offer at 160, a career best payday. saunders blew their wbo title fight at 160. munguia didn't want to fight him as mandatory challenger for a few years. the same munguia was rewarded with a lottery ticket for ducking. golovkin didn't want andrade because at the time he was still active only for the canelo 3. in a final attempt to save his career, andrade was scheduled to fight wbo eliminator for canelo but the fight fell through twice. he's just unreliable and cursed with no fanbase. no big name wants an opponent like that. ryder replaced him in that eliminator and won the lottery ticket with an upset win.

Never mentioned a comparison between him and Crawford. I made a objective opinion that canelo avoids a certain type of boxing style.

Crawford was never a big draw either. Neither was Bradley but they got big fights with their respective A sides.
