    Having reach and quickness, plus being able to go southpaw is a NIGHTMARE for any fighter.

        As someone who is 5'9" with a 74 inch reach, I approve of this post. I've always said one of Mayweather's greatest gifts is his reach, and bud has it too. Yeas, speed and timing are more important, but reach should not be overlooked for a lot of different fighters.

          That’s why I don’t equate greatness with boxers having size and reach advantages, especially when they resort to running tactics in the ring. True greatness is shown by fighters who, despite being undersized and out-reached, take control, dictate the pace, and push the fight forward.

            Crawford’s u usually long reach, when combined with his skill set, athleticism and ring IQ make him IMO a right with Roy and Floyd as the best since Leonard.

              average height with unusually long reaches

              this is an ideal frame for boxing

              it has the range advantage but still good inside long arms protecting a shorter torso
