Him and his team always knew david was a stylistic nightmare. See how they fought for his title immediately after benevidez got stripped. If he never got stripped, they never woudlve fought. What does that tell you.

I’ve been saying it since the Andrade fight…

The canelo that ducked Andrade would have lasted about as long as Andrade against benavidez

it would be even worse now

Aint that the truth. Easy work for Benavidez. Crawford was more polite than Benavidez and not strong enough to batter and slaughter Canelo from pillar to post like Benavidez would have done to overrated limited basic Canelo.

            Are you serious or baiting?

When has Canelo fought a prime opponent? Probably only Caleb Plant.

Whenever he has stepped up, he got schooled (Mayweather, GGG, Bivol, Bud, etc..)

Remember he's a twice proven drug cheat.

He's a very good fighter (not excellent, not great), who happened to be Mexican with ORANGE hair - that's what made him a marketing machine and full credit to him.

he is done. In Bivol fight we have seen the last signs of good Canelo. Go rewatch the fight, his great defense and body movement was still there. Bivol with his shot gun combinations was sometimes unable to land anything on canelo.

I agree Benavidez would probably beat Canelo but the latter's loss to Crawford is no direct evidence for that as the fight would look completely different. What last night showed us was how terribly faded Canelo is so in that context it's fair to conclude Canelo would lose.

                  It's all academic now anyway.

canelo has been artificially extending his career for years now with hand picked fights. anyone calling him the best, the champ, the king are sorely mistaken. he forfeited that claim when he ducked benavidez.
