Still is shocking that nonetheless that someone who is more of a natural Super Featherweight had caught Crawford him the way he did. Gamboa had the traits and stylistic style to pose challenges as he has a pressuring style complimented with athleticism and high output compared to a low output counter puncher fighting a refined boxer puncher. But that's still a 33 pound weight class difference.
Me Personally, I thought Mean Machine Kavaliauskas was like a smaller and less skilled heavy handed counter puncher compared to Alvarez. Who Crawford had commented in the post fight conference that he felt that Lithuanian actually more heavy handed and was more of a threat.
Think that due to style, dimensions, innate traits and milage, fighting Crawford is just a bad match up for Saul, even if he was younger, he just might do a tad better but he wouldn't win against the 38 year old Crawford quite less a younger Crawford who would attempt to acclimate at 168. So I understand why Terrance took this challenge jumping up 2-3 weight classes, but if it came with the naturally larger prime fignters of 168-175 that aren't as much of a stylistic and milage disadvantage, he have to quite think about it. As like any other he has his limits.
