Could Crawford have beaten GGG as well at 168?

168 golovkin was an old man who got 8-4’d by Saul
TBud would get a 168 golovkin

Golovkin. Golovkin hits a hell of a lot harder than Canelo. Golovkin also has a jab and a damn good one. With a jab, you can get your opponent to stop dancing around as much. It's how Golovkin was good (part of the reason) at cutting off the ring. He was able to cut the ring off better than just about anyone. Canelo has notoriously struggled to cut the ring off while Golovkin was a master at it. You combine that with crushing punch power, and I don't see Crawford winning it.Last edited by Cypocryphy; 09-14-2025, 08:49 PM.Comment

I watched that fight, and those scorecards were a joke. Golovkin steamrolled Brook. Go watch that fight and tell me how those judges look.👍 1Comment

GGG was past his prime when he fought Jacobs. That fight in my opinion marked the turning point where he was on the declineGolovkin struggled brutally with jacobs. Golovkins feet is planted in mud. He plods. He fights in slow motion its rediculoius its sickening . No one is beating bud with their feet being stuck in mud no matter the weight at this point. Someone that would beat bud is a sweet P not Golovkin. Golovkin would just get spent & pot shotted. With extreme accuracyComment

GGG was excellent at maintaining distance so think he would've neutralised about 40% of Bud's offence that way. It would've been a close fight, similar to the Madrimov fight with GGG winning by 1 or 2 rounds or a possible knockdown.Comment

Not true - GGG had great balance and was a highly technical fighter. Also an exert in cutting off the ring and maintaining distanceComment

No, probably not.
Canelo fights like he is wearing concrete wellies and has no jab, he has neglected his skills for years and just loads up the same power punches with no set up.
A prime GGG is a whole different kettle of fish.👍 1Comment
