Agreed. One of too many. Sad bc most of those Cuban guys that are/were standouts in the amateurs/olympics would definitely make some noise if they could find a way to make it to the US at least on some big fight undercards. Plus they would make boxing in South Florida actually relevent again. But that's politics for ya.

I wasn’t a fan of La Cruz’s style, but there’s no denying his high talent. He might’ve been a professional great. We’ll never know. There’s no telling what an outstanding amateur can rise to. Some flop, but others become legends. There have just been so many Cuban talents that even a small percentage of them making it would still mean quite a few champions.
