Canelo should just retire. He ducked Benavidez and lost to a natural lightweight in Bud Crawford. It's over! He was way out of his element tonight. It's one thing to beat up heavier cherrypicked tomato can fighters and another to defeat an all-time elite.

Perhaps, Canelo should have fought David Benavidez after all. He stood a much better chance of defeating him than Terence Crawford.

I mean, who else is either guy gonna fight after this? Bud doesn't have anything else to prove but an even bigger payday will probably bait him into a rematch. As far as Canelo, a Benavidez fight isn't gonna happen mainly because the belts aren't involved, so both guys could fight again because nothing else makes sense right now.

Bud could fight either Vergil Ortiz or Jaron Ennis if the money is good enough. However, I just cannot see him moving back down in weight at 38. It would be very difficult.

I gave it to Canelo by 1 round but 7-5 Crawford is also fair. There were a couple of rounds that were really hard to score. My friend, who’s a Crawford fan, had it 6-6. A couple rounds we looked at each other like “who you had on that?” *shrug*.

Some people think that running around and landing a few jabs while smiling, means the round was easy to score because the other guy just landed a few body shots and wasn’t smiling.
