Recently turned 23 year old canelo at 152 isn’t even in the same stratosphere as this canelo at 35 and 168 pounds. He is better at 68 and has a lot more experience now too. Cmon bro

That "recently turned 23 year old" was 43-0 when he fought Floyd. He had already fought and beaten guys like Austin Trout, Kermit Cintron etc. And Floyd was also a 36 years old man past his prime and yet he beat Canelo easy. Floyd could have fought Canelo at 38 and would have still beaten him.

Bud walks around about a 180 lbs. So making 168 wasn’t hard at all for him.

However, I will admit that his cutting down to 147 and 154 has been a real challenge for him over the years.

I truly believe it’s the major reason why he has been fighting only once a year since 2019.

Which was largely due to cutting all that weight at his advanced age. The man will turn 38 in two weeks.

So moving up was just what he needed. He physically matches up well against Canelo.

It’s just 21 less pounds he has to cut that’s all.

True but if you are referring to Canelo; None of them were Terence "Bud" Crawford though. I think Crawford is taking this fight at the right time.

Canelo is shopworn. With lots of wear and tear on his body. It appears to me that he is both mentally, emotionally and physically drained with nothing left to prove.

This was not a fight he wanted. However, for Bud it was. This is the major reason why I am leaning towards Crawford for the upset because I believe that he is the hungrier of the two. He wants it a lot more than Saul Alvarez does.

I know a lot of boxing pundits and fans alike are asking themselves Can Crawford take Canelo's punch? However, I have a better question.

What happens to Canelo once he realizes that he is in a real competitive fight that he cannot win? Will he attempt to bite down and dig deep or will he just wilt under the pressure?

Is Bud "hungier" or is he just looking for a last big payday? After being hit by a super middleweight, will he figure that he's getting paid the same, win or lose, and decide to coast?

I like Crawford to win by decision but it will be tough. Could be the first undisputed in three weight classes since Armstrong which is wild to me.

Goddamnit! They are both looking for paydays or else Canelo would have never taken this fight in the first damn place! He doesn't need Bud but he sure as hell does need and want more money. Shit! Both of them do. As far as Crawford looking for one last big payday? Fuck No, because once he defeats Canelo he will strengthen his hand and bargaining power with the rematch. You don't believe Canelo is going to want a rematch when he loses to Crawford? So yes! Terence is going to be more than willing to oblige him again.
