    it'd be he past prime

Saul has to win this though

Losing to TBud who went up 2-3 divisions and Saul legacy as a great fighter would go down in flames

TBud would still get credit for losing a 8-4 type decision

Think how Marvin 8-7 Roberto still enhanced Roberto's all time standing

Bud maybe a little older but he is far fresher than Canelo who has nearly 70 pro fights and been in there with a whole string of elites and big punchers. GGG x3, Kovalev, Bivol, Floyd, Cotto, Lara, Trout, Mosley, Jacobs, Plant & so on

I think the excuse will be Canelo is on the slide which he is.

          If he loses, he's shot

bud has been pro for 17 years vs canelo 19. He was killing himself making weight at 135-140 for most of his career and rehydrating 20lbs more fight night. He also had 70 amateur fights which adds wear and tear. But none of those guys you listed that he beat really hurt him.

He dominated plant mosely jacobs cotto.

TBud could have had a nice reign over 147 then fighting Jaron and Brian

Canelo has visibly been on the slide for years now, let's be real.

Flip side: What will be the excuse when Bud loses to Canelo? "Oh, my shoulder actually is hurt, but I had to deny it publicly for strategic reasons".
