If you’re starting out as a young heavyweight boxer always act ******. If you show any wit or awareness the British sports press will hate you and always persecute you. They did with Bugner, Lennox and Haye. The vast majority of sports journalists are morons who can’t write intelligible English so they rely on their subjects being even more ill informed. If you give any indication of being an intelligent person, then, my Christ, they will hate you and they will do everything in their power to ruin you.
