I mean, the century is only a quarter of the way in, so it isnt an unreasonable take. I know a lot of people dont like his personality and in ring style but he was very skilled and dominated for a long time.

A century just means a ( period) of 100 years. It doesn't mean it has to be at the start of a century.

If you start it from 1980, 100 years would be 2080. Thats only 55 years from now. Boxing will be way worst in 55 years. Its already on life support in America. I dont think anyone is going to leap frog Mayweather in 55 years unless Crawford beats canelo, then beats David Benavidez lol. Or Shakur Stevenson fights his way up to super middleweight. The talent of competition just isnt there. Look at Uysk he didnt really beat any ATG fighters but look how high he is on this list.

I mean, if we are talking from 1925 to now thats bringing guys like SRR and SRL into the equation and Floyd is not ranking above them.

2000 to today? absolutely he is no1.

Floyd was already voted the best figher in the 90s by a ESPN boxing rankings article so a few boxing historians do think he would number #1 post 1990s. And you cut out my other example. There's no current fighter that would leap frog floyd past the 90s in achievements for level of competition. If there are a few it will be debatable.

The 2000s you got the down fall of Roy Jones, the Klitschkos losing. Lennox losing but still highly ranked. And a few other notable names but Floyd gotta still be up there.

Who you got ahead of Floyd from 2000s until now?

I’ll go with MANNY from 2000 on.
But, Muhammad Ali was the best that I ever saw!

I would put Crawford ahead of Ward.

I also think you can make a case for him over Canelo.

better a ruthless winner than a righteous loser

manny could not cut the ring off yet Floyd complimented his footwork anyways

manny is a weirdo who his way out of getting a rematch
