    Fights you wish got made.

So I’m looking for specific examples. Not fantasy fights that never realistically could have happened.

I’ll go Stevenson vs Kovalev 2014. Both shared a card in November 2013, both won impressively by knockout and the plan was to match them next on HBO. Unfortunately Stevenson went over to Showtime and the fight never ended up happening for a multitude of reasons.

    Post your own.

Al Haymon ruined that fight, if I remember correctly. He called an audible in the 11th hour after the shared Kovalev/Stevenson card and tired demand/negotiate triple the purse for a Stevenson vs Fonfara fight and they'd talk 'after' that fight took place. HBO declined, didn't air the fight and Stevenson eventually moved to Showtime permanently after that.

I remember the heartbreak I felt when Guerrero vs Maidana got called off a week prior due to Robert suffering a shoulder injury. He then went on for years calling out everyone from Floyd to Manny to even Sergio Martinez if I remember correctly. Lol

Cotto-Hatton would've been FOTY candidate. Cotto probably would've beat the crap out of him and stop Hatton in the later rounds. But great stylistic matchup

Winky vs Oscar would've been a good one too

GGG-Pirog. Pirog was a good fighter. Back injury was unfortunate

Floyd-Paul Williams. Most of us wanted that. And I've never heard Floyd say anything bad about Paul Williams, so he has some respect

            Zavec- Berto rematch 2012

Berto took his IBF belt, beat him by illegal headbut, but the rematch never happened, Berto just dropped IBF belt and Zaveck was not in position to get it back.

Yeah rings a bell, I remember everyone thought we’d get B-Hop-Stevenson on Showtime, then B-Hop and GBP went back to HBO.
