is shak going to actually move up & put on weight etc for a new weight class or does he still have 1 eye on a potential future tank matchup? for that im sure he would have to come back down to 135 again IF it ever happens which i doubt anyway, but shak moving up might temp tank into thinking i might have an edge if he comes back down again

          This is confusing.

I thought Lopez has been calling out Ennis and Crawford, who are now fighting in the higher weight classes.

Is Lopez staying at 140 and Shakie is moving up to 140?

There has been rumors of legitimate talks about Lopez vs Stevenson, with Shakur moving up a weight class only for this bout and Teofimo wanting a 18 x 18 ring.

Teofimo admitting that he doesn't want to cut off the ring.

Basically, yeah. Stylistically, even as athletic as Teofimo is. It doesn't bode well for a counter puncher to face a slick, defensive boxer that isn't as prone to getting caught by making mistakes or pressing as much as a pressure fighter.

The fact that he still wants this advantage even though Shakur would be the one moving up is more telling that Teofimo is not confident that he can't cut the ring effectively, watching his fight with Sandor Martin. Jamaine Ortiz is a boxer puncher that can box that way too to an extent.

Teo may not be confident in his endurance/stamina (maybe the 140lb weight-drain is becoming difficult?) to consistently pursue Shakur and still be offensively explosive. I think Shakur showed vs. Zepeda that he's willing to mix it up and fight off the ropes if necessary, and Teo's work-rate isn't nearly as high as Zepeda's. I hope Shakur accepts the ring size if it becomes a sticking point.

Article mentioned it would make Shakur a 4 weight champ if he wins

Forgot Shakur was even at 126, I look it up and and he beat some scrub for a vacant and never defended it and moved up

If he wins this he openly admits he would vacate it and not defend

4 weight champ doesn't mean anything anymore, he'd be a defending 2 weight champ
