    Wasn't even discussed in any capacity let alone in any kind of negotiations.

    Wasn't on anyone's radar.

      Not that I know of. By that time Vernon had already lost to Mayorga, so alot of the shine was gone from that matchup.

      I still think it would have been a good fight though......

          I think Vernon may have been WBC #1 in 2007 when Floyd beat Oscar because he wound up fighting for the vacant title when Floyd returned to 147.

          The timelines never really matched up unfortunately, would have been an interesting fight. I wanted to see Forrest-Martinez too shortly before viper passed away.

            Didn’t think so. Post Oscar it always felt like Hatton, Cotto or Mosley were the biggest fights out there for Floyd.
