Is it reluctance? He seems to be avoided by most boxers , I believe Ortiz would have fought him but Spence and Crawford wanted no part of him, high risk, low reward.
That said, his next fight is disappointing

You've been reported. Hopefully deported off this website....during that time, I hope you can learn to cope with facts.

Boots wins but I don't see Ortiz style being tailor-made at all. I feel his style and intensity is a problem for anyone, Boots included, Bud also.

I think Ortiz is a rare breed that thrives in chaos. He has pretty good fundamentals he works behind but he's also animalistic and I love how his trainers haven't tried to tame him.

Look Vergil Ortiz is facing a battered fighter who's good but damaged, while Jaron Ennis is facing 'someone no one knows, but with his loss can't be sh_t either! All these fighters want superstar treatment, but want to fight the bails bondsman, GTFOH! I will watch to see if Eddie can produce real fights for Ennis or is he star struck his dammm self.

Boots rejected fighting Crawford twice when he was offered those fights not the other way around. I am not sure where that narrative comes from.

I seem to recall they weren't proper meaningful offers - if the A side doesn't want the fight they make a low-ball offer - I doubt Crawford would fight Canelo for an 80-20 split or worse and that's likely where there market draw power is - so when he's the B side he wants a decent offer but when he's the A side not so much - i could have this wrong but again I recall that they were never in proper negotiations

I don't disagree, but I wish Boots had fought him instead of Stanionis! Now I hope Boots demolishes this guy coming up, and fights for a title in his next fight, then Vergil!

Hearn will protect booty until he gets exposed by some mexican sean gibbons found in the street, like clockwork
I think this is a misunderstanding of the business. Ennis is not a huge star so 'protecting' him in this context just means lower profile fights for less profit. It's the big fights that are most valuable to broadcasters and that promoters make the most money from.

Ennis needs dance partners and in 2026 he will get them.

I agree 110%, I absolutely expect Boots to showcase his skills at 154lbs.

I'm sure Eddie would love to make a fight with Xander but Arum is too smart for that. Abass Baraou should inharit the WBA belt from Crawford but he'll look for easier fights with Kelly or Conor Ben. The only belt holder Boots might lure into the ring is Bakhram because nobody else wants to fight him.
