Thats what i really wanna do..get boxing in schools...I believe there are so many shootings because theses kids are scared and dont know how to fight..Boxing will teach them how do deal with their emotions and to channel their anger into something more competitive and positive..I just dont know how to go about doing it...If we all on here go about this in our respectable areas..we can(in a since)change the world and at the same time make the sport we all love even bigger and insure the generations that follow us not only continue the legacy..but do it in a respectful and knowlegable way..What are ya'lls thoughts??
how would one go about instituting a boxing program in schools??

Wait a minute. Let's say there were no guns and there were only swords. And people were killing each other with swords. Would you therefore teach them karate? And if you did teach them karate, would they stop using swords? Or would they just because Samurai or ninjas?
Same thing with guns and boxing. If you teach people who kill each other with guns how to box. They'll just be people who kill each other with guns and can box.Comment

There's a difference between teaching violence and helping kids release anger, frustration, etc. in a positive but not boring way. And come on, the kids that go crazy and shoot up schools are too ***** to box people to death.Wait a minute. Let's say there were no guns and there were only swords. True a teacher of mine told me that back in the day there was boxing in highschools but that they were taken off because they were too violent and that ever since those times, some phisical education teachers have tried to bring it back but they claimed it was nearly impossible they would need insurance up the ass and the way the world is now with kids, the schools get sued for every little thing now seriously some kids and parents sue over the most ridiculous things, Boxing would definetaly be up there.Comment

The closest thing you'd get would be kids hitting bags & mits... and even that's extremely unlikely, the parents would say it's leading their kids onto full Boxing training
Just think about it, the public are very sensitive when it comes to education and schools...Comment

You need to establish the idea on paper in terms of how you envision the program to be run, funded, implemented etc.
Make a rough draft. Then work on the draft and work out the kinks.
Once you have everything in place, learn how to draft a business proposal. In this case its probably gonna fall under a non profit type setup.
If you are serious you will hire someone to draft it for you in professional manner.
Once you have the plan, you take it to the school board, or whoever is in charge of handling this stuff and you make a presentation to them. (Assuming they don't shoot it down outright)
If you do get an interview to present, be prepared to charm the pants off of them.
You have to show that this program has merit and can enrich the lives of the kids at that school.Comment

Boxing wouldn't be a good idea even though I would be for it.
You just know some kid with regular nose bleeds and balsa wood for bones would get seriously ****ed up, then there would be lawsuits and all sorts of legal ****.
Even if boxing did start in schools it would just quickly be made illegal again.
Not worth even considering.Comment
