. Yeah none of these situations are the same or even close.

Both mayweather and Cotto have been champions.

Fulton and Tapales went to Japan to face the bigger name who has also been champ.

Ortiz is a 0 time world champion with no real fan base. Not sure where you’re getting that Vergil brings in the money when he’s not a money maker right now.

Name a better name than Vergil that is available? Xayas is ducking. This is his biggest pay day. He should face Murtazaliev then since you don't like Ortiz. Fundora is busy with Thurman.

Can anyone think of any past instance where a world champion gave up 50/50 and preferred location to the challenger who has never been champion and has no real fan following?
Las Vegas is traditionally where most of the big fights are held. Is Ortiz not supposed to want to fight there, just because he’s from Texas?

Zayas is not ready for Ortiz and Oscar knows it. Also i'm pretty sure Murtazaliev would drop Lubin for a shot at Ortiz. Oscar should give him a call..

Top Rank protected Brian Norman Jr from Boots Ennis too, despite getting a very fair offer.

They’re not going to risk their champions taking an ass whipping and will match them with a safety-first strategy. They’re “smart businessmen” but it sucks for the fans who want to see the best fight the best.

Zayas is a world champion. How can he not be ready?

I thought Ortiz was going to fight Lubin in October? Zayas ain’t ready for Ortiz Jr. not sure who he’s ready for on the Top 5? Jesus Ramos Jr.? Might be too much for him too? Ramos would be good for Ortiz, if not Lubin.

His resume says he’s not ready. TR knows that! It’s not like he beat a Champion to become Champion.

He’s calling himself a world champion, bro. You have to take on all comers when you get to that level.

But I think we agree that they’re ducking Ortiz because they know they’ll be taking an L. The Top Rank Protection Program in full effect.
