Ring Magazine will have an a answer after Wednesday, Ortiz vs Zayas is being negotiated, with the deadline being this upcoming week. If not, Ortiz vs Lubin will be the fight to make.

Either way, either be pretty solid fights to end the year in December.

What about the Russian? Thats not fair for him to blocked out. Lubin was his mandatory i doubt he fights the Russian if the Ortiz fight falls out.

Always so difficult for GBP to make fights without coming public with negotiations.

I quite yet it, it's not fair that after his most notable performance as of yet against Tim Tszyu, he is unfairly fading to the background due to the management with others in the division's focusing on other options. He is also might move up, which might not be the best time yet as prospects are appearing, but 154 is one of the most stacked divisions during these times.

Despite that Murtazaliev holding a world title and really wanting the big fights to increase his stock and earn big financially.

From what I read, RGBA does not want Vergil Ortiz to fight under the physical restrictions of the IBF organization, as he is finally nearly completely recovered, but Rhabdo could emerge again if he pushes himself too much, he needs to rehydrate properly and cut gradually instead of getting check by IBF organization to see if Ortiz is near the weight required before cutting to continue/cancel the fight.

Lubin himself always been mismanaged, being brought up a prospect who got starched by Jermell Charlo, trying to climb his way up by taking challenges with mixed results.

Fundora might be the most willing but considering he is being offered getting well paid for fighting in house fighters, just seems highly unlikely they risk one of their prominent fighters to a fighter who is not aligned to any promotions, considering how well Murtazaliev can capitalize on his own reach and is in the bigger size range, he proves the most risk in the division for Sebastian, despite that the Russian has not looked the best against Jack Culcay, as he went to life and death with the undersized German.

Either you are well rounded enough to beat the Russian, or you will outright get destroyed by him if he can find any gaps or if you aren't careful 24/7. Either way he is a nightmare, as even if you outwork and you make sure to not be caught with something big, he might eventually hurt his opponent any moment even if he losses. He would beat Bohachuk way better than Vergil, but I do think Ortiz's ability to box, punching power and now recovered enough to include his high guard in his defense, would likely make him beat Bakhram, as Bakhram is not a high volume pressure fighter that create openings like Serhii, but rather aims to find them as he doesn't have that kind of stamina, as shown in his previous fights.

Personal opnion though, styles makes fights though, Murtazaliev might beat opponents that could beat Ortiz, with Vergil fairing worse towards Bohachuk, and Fundora. Think Vergil beats Bakhram, Lubin and Zayas convincingly.

Think Ortiz is like Marco Antonio Barrera, piston like Jab to hurt/disrupt with a versatile pressuring style, able to make quick adjustments. However his style is centered to fight opponents within his size range, with Hooker and Bohachuk, it has been shown that he struggles to get within range against high output fighters with a long reach and he struggles timing his opponents's reach to get out of range. A thing he might struggle with the Russian, but considering his style, not that much.
