Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul: How much money is enough?
Jake Paul deserves credit for what he's accomplished in boxing, but Eric Raskin says a potential fight with Anthony Joshua is too dangerous for Paul and too embarrassing for Joshua.

The same articles were written when Ali fought the sumo wrestler - just make the money if fools are prepared to give it to you - as for Paul's health - write something into the contract - if Joshua signs it thats on him - then back to above - just take the money. If he doesn't write something into the contract we are into that hypothetical scenario where each one of us has stated - "I'd take a million to get knocked out by XYZ knockout artist" - except in Paul's case it'd be 50 million or more.
This article forced me to make a decision I did not want to make. Not about a potential "fight" between Paul and Joshua. No, that is something I would laugh it off at my local pub if I did not actually like boxing and am revolted by it being a thing that may happen. No, simply put Eric Raskin summed up the ******ity well, the downside to the carnival coming to town. It would be a farce. Sure, they both would laugh all the way to the bank, but boxing becomes a more pathetic, niche sport for it occurring.
My dilemma was more personal: I try never- NEVER- to click on articles or updates about the Paul brothers. More power to them both for what they accomplished up to now, but I will not provide clicks or search engine interest to support them. However, I have followed and enjoyed Eric Raskin since his "HBO Boxing Podcast" days and he always entertains me. So, either I had to click on this article and kick my Paul brothers boycott to the side, or ignore it and miss out on the fun way Raskin frames things even if I do not always agree.
if AJ takes the paul fight i think his image might take a hit, i mean hes now seen as a semi crazy ego guy who probably over achieved in the sport but taking a 'fight' against someone like paul might not fight into his public persona at all
