A fight that if it goes wrong for AJ, takes away any negotiation leverage for the remainder of his career. Already "shot" in many people's eyes, if he loses to a Super Middleweight? How could you come back from that and try and still pass yourself off as a threat at HW?

The Division Was Starting To Pick Up. Andre Ward Wanted To Protect His Perfect Record. He Retire Out Of Fear Of Damaging His Undefeated Record. Andre Ward Was Still Young, Undefeated, Did Not Have Any Health Issues. Fighters In His Position Just Doesn't Call It Quit That Soon. We Saw How Floyd Did It And Then Came Back A Few Years Later. Andre Ward Is Following That Same Blueprint.

punching someone in the balls is skill? come on thats silly. wrestling is literally not legal according to the rules. clinching is the biggest component of wrestling. holding and hitting is not legal. it makes his fights unwatchable but above all its not even legal. hes using "skills" that do not apply to boxing.

thats why it was so infuriating watching a guy get away with blatant nonstop illegal tactics, but only when he was fighting guys he was worried about of course. he didnt do that against paul smith or alexander brand. then to blatantly headbutt and low blow his opponents on top of that? sadistic. no this was clearly wrong and boxing letting him get away with it is akin to war crimes or war-d crimes
