No one wants to see Ward come back to wrestle and low
blow his way through a fight while putting fans to sleep.

A fight that if it goes wrong for AJ, takes away any negotiation leverage for the remainder of his career. Already "shot" in many people's eyes, if he loses to a Super Middleweight? How could you come back from that and try and still pass yourself off as a threat at HW?

Neither need to (Wards SMW legacy is sealed and solid), nor should, take this fight.

The Division Was Starting To Pick Up. Andre Ward Wanted To Protect His Perfect Record. He Retire Out Of Fear Of Damaging His Undefeated Record. Andre Ward Was Still Young, Undefeated, Did Not Have Any Health Issues. Fighters In His Position Just Doesn't Call It Quit That Soon. We Saw How Floyd Did It And Then Came Back A Few Years Later. Andre Ward Is Following That Same Blueprint.

thats why it was so infuriating watching a guy get away with blatant nonstop illegal tactics, but only when he was fighting guys he was worried about of course. he didnt do that against paul smith or alexander brand. then to blatantly headbutt and low blow his opponents on top of that? sadistic. no this was clearly wrong and boxing letting him get away with it is akin to war crimes or war-d crimes
Belt Line. And Clinching Is Not Illegal. It Is Not Andre Ward's Fault That Sergey Kovalev Does Not Know How To Fight On The Inside.

Floyd was not young, and had problems with his hands for years..... there is nothing similar with how they retired.

Who was your hero..... Kovalev I am guessing..... or, was it how Ward punked Bullshltkin that did you in ??

this place is still full of fanboy clowns

in 2014, Bullshltkin said he would fight "anyone from 154-168"..... he specifically said that he would fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154..... but one year later in 2015 Bullshltkin killed BOTH of those fights over weight, refusing to move from 160

Golovkin & Ward: Who Is Ducking Who?

"..... they simply preferred to hold out for a lower-risk, financially more rewarding fight against either Miguel Cotto or Canelo Alvarez. That is hardly a crime, but even granting that it was a sensible long-term business move on their part, it still runs contrary to their prior eagerness to “fight the best from 154 to 168”. Whatever you think of Golovkin the fighter, there is a serious mismatch here between his team’s words and their deeds, whereas judging Ward by his upcoming test next weekend, the reverse is true."

It never gets old..... hypejobs lie to their idiot fans, and their idiot fans spend the rest of their lives frantically defending them

I Was Referring To Andre Ward, He Was 33 Year Old When He Retired Since The Division Was Starting To Pick Up.
And Floyd Was Young When He Retired The First Time In 2007! He Was Around 30 Year Old At That Time!
