the corner should know immediately something not right the ref might be thinking is this the way he fights or something? the corner can ask the guy how u feeling as well

Agreed, my point is phrasing it that way is, of course the corner shouldve stopped it, thats the obvious part, I dont know what McGirt what doing over there, but it was neglect, period. And I was wondering why he didnt stop it during the last three rounds.

But in this case, it was so obvious that even the ref couldve, maybe shouldve, seen the situation and stopped it.

This is why performance enhancing drugs and being a "weight bully" are so disgusting when it comes to boxing. Those 2 things don't just take $ and opportunities away, they take years or an entire life away from people that sacrificed so much to feed loved ones in the name of entertainment. NFL & NHL are in the same boat with PEDs.

In a world of short/quick $, things may not improve until it's to late and boxing is on its last breath. Till then, expect many decades of this nonsense..way more than most of us have left.
