Agreed, my point is phrasing it that way is, of course the corner shouldve stopped it, thats the obvious part, I dont know what McGirt what doing over there, but it was neglect, period. And I was wondering why he didnt stop it during the last three rounds.

But in this case, it was so obvious that even the ref couldve, maybe shouldve, seen the situation and stopped it.

This is why performance enhancing drugs and being a "weight bully" are so disgusting when it comes to boxing. Those 2 things don't just take $ and opportunities away, they take years or an entire life away from people that sacrificed so much to feed loved ones in the name of entertainment. NFL & NHL are in the same boat with PEDs.

In a world of short/quick $, things may not improve until it's to late and boxing is on its last breath. Till then, expect many decades of this nonsense..way more than most of us have left.

For all the early stoppages where we all just shake our heads and wonder why, I still see fights regularly where I wonder what the ref is waiting for, let alone the corner.

Edit: It sounded like I meant Dadashev had no power, but I worded that part wrong. I meant to say that, after a certain point, he had no power left in his shots. He started fine, but even though he kept fighting, it was clear that he was very damaged, and his shots were like a kid against a grown up. They shouldbve stopped it then.
Still can't get that fight out of my head. I agree, those refs and corners wait way too long in some cases to stop fights. I don't care if a guy is a 'blood & guts' warrior, it's not worth it in the end. Mayweather/Gatti popped up in Youtube feed a couple of nights ago and I watched on as Gatti got his brains scrambled--gladly, Floyd wasn't a power puncher at 140. Round 9 of Gatti/Ward 1 was unsettling as well. Hell, Gatti was slurring during the Mayweather build-up, smh.

I'll also go out on a limb and say I absolutely hate listening to fighters slurring during their interviews...I cut that **** off quickly because it's annoying and sad at the same time. I enjoy a good scrap but I don't wanna hear a fighter struggle to get their words out later on, hence Tony Harrison's declining speech and recall....and this fool wants to fight for another championship. Smh

If a boxer uses their car to travel to training and fights, how might specialized auto insurance protect them differently compared to a regular driver?
