The real REASON Valero was such a hard puncher

I was watching this Valero training motivation video on YouTube (shout out to Boxing Highlights C4TV!) and noticed that he used a lot of LEVERAGE and TORQUE on his punches by rotating his hips and throwing his whole body weight behind every punch. This is a pretty unusual way of fighting nowadays where fighter's tend to be more flat-footed but would explain why he punched so HARD.

Both Tyson & Golovkin fought the same way too...the lost art of 'shifting'.

Disagree...he was a 2 weight world champion with 27KO's in as many fights and defeated several guys who would go on to become world champions.

          The dude could definitely CRACK!

Valero was a exciting fighter, he beat two prime solid champions in Mosquera and DeMarco. Valero could had done more though. Think he got a easy path of becoming a two division champion, but it's not like he didn't earn it, and super featherweight just lacked the opposition available at the time.

Still though, there was multiple options at lightweight, at the time he had his last fight. Like Joel Casamayor, Juan Diaz, Acelino Freitas, Juan Manuel Marquez and etc.
