Rule changes from its most recent convention have allowed for more ******* use of approving interim title fights.
One of the most interesting quotes from the article.

As for Bivol, it was obvious that the champ had some genuine reason for his delay and now we know. Looking forward to seeing him back in action next year. It will actually make sense for him to do the Eifert defence next followed by Beterbiev and Benavidez fights.

I wish him all the best and a speedy recovery but given the recent statements from Beterbiev and his trainer, it sounds like an EXCUSE.

His back was working perfectly fine just a few months ago!

Back problems at his age is not a good sign. Last fight against Beterbiev could be his swan song..

There was nothing seriously wrong with his back - if there was he wouldn't have been able to fight at all.

Where was the surgery? Russia? I wonder if the IBF has a medical expert who can ascertain from the x-rays pre and post operation what exactly the issue was and even if the xrays are of Bivol's back

well he had 2 fights with beter and noone really wants a 3 rd anyway so i dont know what the big fuss is about

turki should jump off no3 and stump up for beter v benny, no point in hanging around for an injured guy or a guy not ready to fight for whatever reasons, time to move on

Someone good needs to take Eifert out of the picture so that we don’t have to waste any fights on him once Bivol comes back.

Beterbiev should have fought him insteaed of Nicholson. But maybe once Benavidez beats Yarde he can rid us of the Eifert mando, it’s the smart move while he’s waiting for his shot.

i would be far more interested to see canelos daddy benny in with either of the 2 russians, that would be a very big event in vegas, lots of the fake mexicans would jump off canelo and onto benny for that one i would say

So what, you think there's some kind of Grand Conspiracy here?

let see if Bivol bothers taking a tuneup or directly trilogy Artur who lost twice already to Bivol

Eifert can be that tuneup in January followed by Artur in April May or June

straight to trilogy would be February March or April

Riyadh season runs from October to March

enjoy the pathetic cries of Artur’s fans while it lasts

they happy a fight isn’t happening next to mislabel duck and claim a moral victory for their guy after Bivol’s 8-4’d him

the same guy who also had surgery and delayed fight 1
