Fair play to him and well done, Sam Jones was on Talksport telling the boxers to jump ship as they (Boxxer) had nothing to offer. Think Ben gets a lot wrong but this he has played well

Bear in mind that Boxxers Sky deal was around £8m a year and that included PPV.
Guessing this will be half that if lucky.
Great to see boxing on terrestrial TV, but realistically this sounds to me like it's BBC3 and iPlayer.
Rumour was iPlayer only, so if they've wangled TV onto it, it won't be BBC1 I think.
Something to keep contracts in tact and keep their boxers on Saudi cards.
Fair play to Shalom for trying to keep Boxxer alive, but not sure this is the deal some people seem to think it is...Last edited by M312; Yesterday, 05:49 AM.

This could prove to be an enormous success. Free to air boxing on the biggest national network is a damned sight more valuable profile-wise to the fighters currently in the Boxxer stable. Ben Whittaker, Martin Bakole, Eubank Jr, TKV, they all know how to sell themselves and sell a fight. And this could make them even bigger names in their home base. When the barrier to entry is essentially zero, they could attract millions of viewers to a platform that has been slowly dying. Make no mistake, this was a good deal for the BBC too. The more eyeballs on their platforms, the longer they can justify that licence fee.

Anything to bring Boxing the sport into the mainstream of peoples lives is a good thing, but there is still one concern and that is that line " undercard events " sometimes we can get the undercard or the undercard of the undercard and 90% hype to sit thru for several hours. So lets hope for as much boxing as possible and as little hype as is needed.......
I doubt if anyone in the TV landscape in the USA is looking and saying this looks like a good idea...............but at least it is in a positive direction for more eyes on Boxing the sport the actual fights not thoughts on boxing........And like everything is Boxing i will believe it when i see it, boxing makes skeptics out of all of us eventually.........

I wonder if younger fighters will see this as a good platform to get exposure before moving onto those who can drive the big PPV fights?
Boxxer might have found a nice little niche here.
Although Shalom might also screw it up.
