Asked about a possible return, Davis said he would be back at some point – possibly in a year – but does not know when. He has not been back in the gym since, although he has been doing his roadwork.
    Why so long?

did he read this from a script? only joking it sounds good i almost believe him, stuff happens in boxing u learn and move on i dont think this will happen with him again lets put it like that, he was getting ahead of himself, assuming your opponent will just be fine if u come way over weight is a bit much in this sport but then again didnt floyd pull this trick sometime ago and people were laughing about it thinking it was a good move so idk maybe its how u do it that counts

Bob Arum to Keyshawn, “If you’re gonna be a pos, try to be a pos with a better public image.”

I like the fighter but don't like the person.

I hope that it is true that he learned a lesson about who he was becoming and decided that he doesn't want to be that guy. I don't think that it is a good idea to stay out of the ring for a year. Boxing isn't the longest of careers and any fight can be your last one. Besides that , activity keeps you sharp.

Meh. People can reflect if they care to take the time to do it. I dont care to see him and think he should be banned, stiffly, to set an example.

If he then comes back, we'll know whether anything changed, even if it's just that he realizes he won't make money missing weight and assaulting people.

I dont buy the story the way he said it tho.

                    1. It's his body's fault that he missed weight, not a lack of discipline.

                    2. He wouldve given anything to make the fight happen.

                    3. He innocently thought Los Santos would take it, because "I did that before".

                    4. None of it was planned, and it wasn't a case of the or A-side trying to manipulate the situation to gain unfair advantage.

If you believe all that then it mostly just sounds like bad luck mixed with a simple misunderstanding. Unlikely.
