Is Jermain Taylor a dumb fighter?

I mean if you threw 100 jabs and 2 of them got through, wouldn't you change your strategy? It was painful watching Taylor throw that meaningless jab that did nothing but drain his stamina. Why not throw a jab to the body where Abraham was more open?

Watching Taylor fight, one of my friend's and I began to question Jermain's ring smarts. So I ask, is Jermain Taylor a dumb fighter?

a lot of those jabs were getting threw abraham's tight guard. I mean AA's face wasn't bruised up for nothing.

Yea I would have liked to see some more uppercuts too thrown in there. Abraham wasn't that open to the body though it seemed to me.

It was unbeleivable reed, I can't remember being as disgusted as I was with Taylor's performance. It's like he wasn't even trying to win, just keep his distance and stay on his feet for twelve round.

He's faster than Abraham, why didn't he throw more combinations? I know Abraham is powerful and all but my god. You'd think after hitting Abraham's guard for the 500th time he'd throw another punch.

He's scared of getting gassed, so he wouldn't let his hands go. He also doesn't want to leave himself open to get countered at all. His strategy wasn't really to win, he was content to go quietly into the night it seems. What's really interesting about Taylor is he's terrible at blocking punches. Every punch AA threw made contact. Taylor frequently partially blocks punches, but he still somehow manages to absorb a fair amount of punishment from the partially blocked punches.

It was frustrating definitely... i was surprised AA didnt start throwing the over hand right, right over the lazy jab...
