Watching Taylor fight, one of my friend's and I began to question Jermain's ring smarts. So I ask, is Jermain Taylor a dumb fighter?
Dude the jab was to create distance inj the early rounds and he used the distance to go to the body and throw hooks and right hands. As trhe fight wore on and he got penalized for low blows he abandoned his game plan which to my understanding was to use the body to bring down AA guard and then throw the right hand. As for DUMB I would not call a man who beat B Hop all be it a matter of opinon DUMB. He has some questions about his career and his stamina but DUMB no I would not call him dumb. I think his game plan was well thought outy and being executed until the issues with the low blows. AA brings his arms very vertical and his belt line was kinda high. His elbows were just at his belt line and his gloves were right in front of his face. Makes for a very hard target. if his belt line would have been were it was supposed to JT would have still landed a few low blows but a few of them would not have been low.

His game plan was good the JAB was a big part of it and he was using it to create distance. He had a hostel crowd a point deduction and a very tough opponent in front of him. To call him dumb for gettign caught or continuing to throw his jab is ignorant. To say he was not fighting smarty because he was unable to make an adjust ment would be more proper and less ignorant. he should have been able to adjust and thrwo some more punches the would loop around AA gloves and possibly land causing him to widen his guard and allow the jab throw and this qway it could have been effective. To my surprise this was not done but I think after JT was hurt by a big punch he was just rrying to finish the fight on his feet and was also unsicessful....Lefty

Every punch AA threw made contact. Taylor frequently partially blocks punches, but he still somehow manages to absorb a fair amount of punishment from the partially blocked punches.
i agree on both... he doesnt want to get tired... he was trying TOO hard to pace himself... and seemed to forget about winning.. also he looks like an amateur when punches are thrown at him..

Ill say this though... nobody else has beaten AA.. and he has definitely proved himself to be a very good fighter.

          Jermaine Taylor is dam'ned imbecile.

I think thats why Bernard Hopkins lost to him twice..Using strategy or arguing with a ****** only makes YOU look ****** in the end. Bernard shouldve just walked up to that idiot and put him out of his misery.

Fair enough lefty, Jermain was not fighting smartly and didn't adapt to Abraham at and didn't make any adjustments to help him win.

He has, I thought Taylor was going to be able to outpoint him.. Abraham outboxed and outpunched Taylor. The truly sad part about Taylor getting knocked out was he wasn't even trying to win at that point. He wasn't putting on a late rally in an effort to beat Abraham. He was just jabbing his way to a decision loss and got caught with something big. If he were trading and ******** on getting in a big punch himself this would not have been sad, but there were 7 seconds left and he wasn't attempting to win. Poor Taylor.

Taylor must have the worst guard in the game. He can have his arms set and in place to fully block, yet still get clobbered. He could use some lessons from Abraham.

I really feel bad for Jermain. He was so promising at one point.
