Wouldn't say Nakatani be rated as a top 10 bantamweight historically and doesn't have to say he give a bantamweight great a run for his money, but it does seem like a wasted opportunity. Where in contrast I could say Bam and Inoue have a argument in their current division, at least if Rodriguez beats Martinez and becomes undisputed to seal the deal. He be rated as a top Super Flyweight historically.

Inoue has beaten multiple accomplished Super Bantamweight champions like Doheny, Tapales, Nery, Fulton, Donaire, and Akhmadaliev if he wins in his next bout. He is also undisputed there.
Top 10 bantamweight historically???? Not even top 25.

His reply doesn’t mean anything. Nothing is proven outside the ring… everything is and only will be proven inside the ring as we all know.

I am aware, I am saying he doesn't need to be a top 10 ATG at Bantamweight, Nakatani's run could had been quite better at Bantamweight.

He could give the pound for pound best Bantamweights a run for their money, but a win over Santiago and Nishida is just quite good, not great. Not because he wasn't dominant, but because he just has been at Bantamweight for a year.

Though he did quite well considering how short it was, with him stopping two former/current world champions that were coming off wins. Could had fought Antonio Vargas, Seiya Tsutsumi, Yoshiki Takei, and Tenshin Nakusawa. But likely had these opportunities blocked by Akihiko Honda, yet another single win could had solidified his run good enough, at least to fans like me and others.

Sad thing is, Bantamweight is going to get more interesting with the upcoming years as there are noticeable prospects and contenders coming in.

Inoue has been beating everyone in the Super Bantamweight division, Tapales, Doheny, Donaire, Nery and others are near retirement because of personal milage and coming off big losses. Fulton had also moved up.

Well then what's stopping him from getting inside the ring.

Inoue - Nakatani is actually the best fight right now.
