Maidana was just a basic tier pressure fighter but he was in his prime so had the adherent levels of energy, motivation and reflexes which was exactly what made him dominate much of the fight.

      - - l'l floydy and he cra ck daddy fired Tony Weeks for letting Maidana beat him up.

Maidana not credited with a first rd KD by Bayless helped him get a close MD by his hometown judges...

Amir Khan, Khan's handspeed and punching power was a big issue until Marco steadily worked his way to turning the tides. Khan's chin wasn't made of glass yet, or at least it wasn't shown that often before.

But to be fair Floyd Mayweather Jr was in the end trail of his career his reflexes having faded with his brittle hands limiting his output, his stamina conditioning was never a problem though at his age, as he was quite disciplined.

Maidana had gotten more wrinkles and experience with Robert Garcia for 3-4 years when he fought with Floyd too.

yes it was. he had been dropped and hurt so many times already. maidana is just overrated as a puncher. not that he cant punch but he only knocked out 1 or 2 top 10 fighters his entire career. thats wilder level overrated

Floyd faced the better buffer prime edition of Marcos

Marcos absolute peak being the Broner fight lol

Don't think the lack KOs reflect how heavy handed he was, just not skilled enough to capitalize on it. He still has multiple solid wins having rocked and floored multiple fighters even without the knockouts.

As for Khan I didn't know he got downed that often before his notable losing streak. He fought mostly against some Journeymen, a quite faded Barrera and Malignaggi before he fought Maidana.

it was a fact, Maidana changed his entire style after switching to Robert Garcia.
