I could see Rooroos brain blinking on and off when he got hit. Like an old neon sign, buzzing and sparking. They'll feed him to the dogs for beating Jojo.

      100% agree

Damn! What a great fucking fight? I must admit that I was both pleasantly entertained and surprised by the crowd pleasing action. Both men gave as good as they got.

Last night was entertaining but still hard to watch because his absolute inability to take a punch was on full display. JoJo hasn't showed punching power in nearly a decade and 10lbs ago.

Regis gets sparked out ugly by the next decent fighter he steps in with.
You make a salient point. Prograis’ punch resistance has decreased due to the lack of reflexes. He just doesn’t see the punches coming as fast as he used to. Therefore his reaction time is a bit slower.

All aging fighters experience this. Even Pac experienced it against Barrios. I even noticed it as early in his fight with Keith Thurman. Reaction times to getting hit are a split second slower

The one thing I did noticed about the Rougarou is that his hand to eye coordination (timing) is back. I thought his punches were quite very accurate against JoJo Diaz.

With football, at least once a player stops performing well no team will want him.
My guess is that you are referring to American football. Yeah, that is true.

Once an athlete is considered washed up. He is either cut from the team or is forced into retirement because no team wants them.

In boxing it is totally different. Promoters persistently and deliberately throw washed up journeyman fighters a bone.

Just in order to add them on the resume’s of their young rising star prospect’s record.

You may be right but I still believe that this was his best performance against JoJo Diaz since his fight with Jose Zepeda back in 2022.

Offensively, he displayed a lot of stamina, hand speed and timing. He got his punches off first and they were very accurate as well.

Defensively, his reflexes were lacking. He got caught flush with too many clean punches that he did not see coming. Which caused his knees to buckle throughout the fight.

However, Diaz was still unable to put him down or stop him though.Which subsequently cost him the fight.

DIaz was fighting the fight of his life, for survival. Yet... He's still an old Jojo Diaz, so i think that's what made prograis look sort of ok.

This article is about as bad as the commentators: With a combined 68 years and five losses in six fights between Regis Prograis and Joseph “JoJo” Diaz, who writes this **** on here! Chris Mannix and Sergio Morra also need to either not talk and score or score and not talk they sure can't do both and I had it a clean win for Prograis even though he had a couple rocky moments he still was winning the rounds clean!
